Reptile believed to be on the slither for weeks

Have you lost a snake?

A California Kingsnake was found yesterday (Mon 01) in the National Sports Centre car park in Douglas.

The 3 foot reptile, which isn't poisonous, was found by contractors carrying out work at the site.

By happy circumstance, another worker who was in the area at the time, was experienced in keeping snakes - and offered to safely recover it.

The MSPCA says it believes the snake had been loose for some time as they had a report of it a few weeks ago. It's now being cared for by the man who recovered it, who was happy to give it a temporary home and has the equipment required to keep it safe and well.

If you know who it belongs to, or it's yours, you're asked to call 851 672, ext 3 and leave a message.
