Dr Alex Allinson says preparation has built resilience
Though social distancing measures are no longer neccessary in schools, the preparation has not been a waste of time.
That's according to Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson, following government's decision to scrap social distancing the same week students begin returning to their normal learning environments.
Before the announcement, schools had rearranged classrooms, moved furniture, laid out markings, and changed structures to adhere to government regulations.
However, Dr Allinson says this means they'll be ready if there is a second wave:
