Vote comes following lengthy debate
Tynwald members have approved a report on the future of social security and national insurance in the Isle of Man.
Recommendations include a single-tier state pension, consultation on compulsory workplace pensions and the introduction of a benefit cap.
Some members were concerned that by approving the recommendations they would be endorsing changes which had already been decided.
The likes of Chief Minister Allan Bell, Treasury Minister Eddie Teare and Treasury member Bill Henderson, insisted that was not the case, and there was still plenty more consultation and debate to come.
Mr Teare reiterated this in his closing remarks:
Renal patients 'near breaking point' over lack of dialysis facilities in the north
Public Health to expand 'stop nicotine' services and accept referrals from children
Fourth candidate declares for Glenfaba and Peel
Kewaigue Hill closure comes into force this morning
