A 23 year old soldier on leave has been bailed to appear before the High Bailiff on January 3.
Mark Liam Cains, of Saxony in Germany, faces charges of drink driving, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
He was arrested on December 23 in Port Erin.
Cains must stay on the Island at his parents’ address in Ballabeg, and High Bailiff Michael Moyle said custody was more likely as he had a previous drink-drive conviction from 2004.
