Extra £250 available to cover self-isolation costs
Students returning to the Isle of Man this Christmas are being offered extra financial support from the Manx Solidarity Fund.
Those who need to spend two weeks in isolation away from home can apply for £250 to cover the cost of alternative accommodation.
The charity, established during the coronavirus pandemic earlier this year, says the money aims to complement the £500 accommodation support offered by government.
Only those staying in properties listed with goverment's 'Select Accommodation Isolation List' will qualify.
Eligible students will then be determined by the education department's grants team.
