Cretney calls for 'sensible compromise'
A Member of the Legislative Council has called for 'sensible compromise' over proposed changes to government departments.
Speaking ahead of today's Tynwald debate on the Lisvane report, David Cretney says some branches need more political members than others to fulfil operations effectively.
The report contains eleven recommendations designed to improve the function of the Manx parliament, one of which is limiting the memberships to one MHK per department.
Mr Cretney says in some cases, this wouldn't work:
Yellow rain warning issued for the Isle of Man
Information Commissioner criticises DESC handling of school validation FOI request
Young graduates priced out of coming home, says Tynwald youth report
