MHK says decision may not save DESC money in the short term
Closing the Southern Swimming Pool may not save the education department money in the short-term, according to one MHK.
It's after the news the Department of Education, Sport and Culture is recommending closing the facility at the end of March.
The decision's said to have been made purely on financial grounds.
But Arbory, Castletown and Malew member Jason Moorhouse says it's not a zero-cost option:
Amber weather warning issued as strong winds and coastal conditions expected overnight
Hospice funding criticised by UK charity chief amid Isle of Man service cuts
Sailings cancelled as storm brings gale-force winds
Manx Mountain Marathon route diverted over safety concerns amid forecast strong winds
