Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan is representing the Isle of Man at the official opening of the fourth National Assembly for Wales today (Tuesday).
The Garff MHK has been invited to Cardiff by the Assembly's new presiding officer Rosemary Butler, who, like Mr Rodan, is a member of the steering committee of the British Irish Parliamentary Assembly.
Mrs Butler is familiar with the Isle of Man, having been a guest at the open air sitting of Tynwald at St John's.
She also visited the Island last November as it hosted a session of the British Irish Parliamentary Assembly.
