It's the Isle of Man's national day and, as always, thousands of people will be heading for St John's to witness the annual open air sitting of the Manx parliament, and enjoy the atmosphere of the Tynwald Fair.
VIPs at today's ceremony include the Archbishop of York and the High Commissioner of India, and twelve acts will be promulgated from the hill by the first and second deemsters, in English and Manx Gaelic.
People with grievances will petition the parliament in the time honoured way, and the Tynwald Honour will be presented for only the third time, this year to Ian Qualtrough.
The weathermen say rain early in the morning will give way to a dry day, with sunny intervals, but it will be cloudy this evening, with rain or showers moving in.
Manx Radio's live coverage from the fair field will start at 9.30am, with the main commentary getting under way an hour later.
And we will be reporting live from some of the many events at locations around the Island, until 5pm.
