30-year-old disqualified from driving for three months
A pharmacist from England has been banned from the road after being caught riding his motorbike at 115 miles per hour on open roads.
Faiz Shahzad Ismail, of Yarm Road in Stockton-on-Tees, appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday (26 May).
The 30-year-old was stopped by police on Saturday (23 May) on the A3 Road.
Police had witnessed his Ducati Panigale breaking the speed limits between Ballacraine Crossroads and Douglas Road Corner in Kirk Michael.
Fining Ismail £500, and ordering him to pay £125 in prosecution costs, Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood also disqualified him from driving for three months.
He will also have to take, and pass, an extended driving test; Ismail was ordered to pay the fine forthwith or face 40 days in custody.
