Douglas Council's plans for a spectacular fireworks display which could have marked the end of the Commonwealth Youth Games have been abandoned.
Councillors had arranged to bring forward the traditional bonfire night celebrations to September 12, to coincide with the closing of the prestigious international event, which is being hosted by the Isle of Man for the first time.
