St John Ambulance spends more than 800 hours delivering prescriptions

Local charity offers front-line ambulance support during pandemic

Volunteers at St John Ambulance have spent more than 800 hours delivering prescriptions to vulnerable members of the community.

Since the 1 April, the charity offered to help distribute the medicines to those in need, on behalf of local pharmacies and Noble's Hospital.

Chief officer of the IoM branch is John Gill:

The Manx branch of the charity has also provided more than 340 hours worth of front-line ambulance support throughout the pandemic.

With usual opportunities for fundraising suspended at present, a 'just giving' page has been set up, which is calling for public support.
