Staff absence at schools being managed 'internally'

Follows suspension of face to face learning for some pupils

Staff absence within Island schools is being managed 'internally'.

That's the message from the education minister who says her department has asked for 24-hours notice when a situation escalates.

This week five year groups at Castle Rushen High School have had face to face teaching cancelled due to sickness and isolation.

It follows claims that 17 staff were off on Monday.
