Stamps mark Christmas Eve truce

The Isle of Man is commemorating the famous events of 1914 with its very own Christmas truce with Germany.

The Manx and German post offices have teamed up to produce a set of stamps remembering the football game between soldiers in the trenches on Christmas Eve.

A percentage of the proceeds will go to the Royal British Legion, which provides support to members and veterans of the Armed Forces.

Isle of Man Stamps and Coins General Manager Maxine Cannon says the stamp set is a very special one:
