Steam Packet finances 'will need reshaping'

Treasury Minister seeks clarity ahead of 2021 budget

Treasury hopes to have full clarity on the Steam Packet Company's funds ahead of February's budget.

Treasury Minister Alf Cannan says the government-owned ferry operator's financing will have to be reviewed due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Border restrictions and the cancellation of events like the TT have had an effect on the firm's passenger numbers.

But Mr Cannan says it's been a valuable asset to the Island:
