Changes to service not incoming, insists company
The Steam Packet has played down suggestions it's considering a future service to Holyhead.
The company confirmed that the Ben-my-Chree undertook berthing trials at the Welsh port last week - but said it was merely 'exploring' alternatives.
Yesterday the company announced an offer to extend its linkspan user agreement with the Manx government.
The £170 million bid provides for two brand new vessels, a public revenue-sharing deal, passenger fare caps and employment guarantees.
But Chief Executive Mark Woodward says last week's trial doesn't mean a shake-up of destinations are on the horizon:
Government 'expects fuel pricing to stabilise by middle of week'
Tanker carrying 4.5 million litres of fuel waiting to dock
Queues at pumps as diesel prices increase across Island
We aren't the fun police!
