Changes to service not incoming, insists company
The Steam Packet has played down suggestions it's considering a future service to Holyhead.
The company confirmed that the Ben-my-Chree undertook berthing trials at the Welsh port last week - but said it was merely 'exploring' alternatives.
Yesterday the company announced an offer to extend its linkspan user agreement with the Manx government.
The £170 million bid provides for two brand new vessels, a public revenue-sharing deal, passenger fare caps and employment guarantees.
But Chief Executive Mark Woodward says last week's trial doesn't mean a shake-up of destinations are on the horizon:
