Still no decision in German


Voters in German are still waiting to find out who their new commissioners will be.

Last night's local election, the first held in the parish for more than 30 years, ended in fiasco after it was discovered that candidate Kenneth Watterson had been short-changed by 100 votes.

This changed the result, with Mr Watterson who'd originally lost out, now a winner.

Meanwhile, newcomer Susie Boot faced defeat having been told in public she had won a seat.

Because the mistake came to light after the declaration, officials are taking legal advice on whether the public vote or the declaration, stands.
