The Douglas branch of Adams Childrenswear has closed.
It was announced at the end of last month that the company was expected to be placed in the hands of administrators.
The company quoted the downturn in the high street retail market and the general tightening of the financial markets as contributory factors in its demise.
John Moss reported from the Douglas branch earlier today (play attached audio file):
Adams Childrenswear has 271 stores across Britain and over 100 of them were closed overnight.
