Police are advising people not to travel unless absolutely necessary tonight.
Storm force winds are expected in some areas which could lead to fallen trees and structural damage.

Department of Infrastructure crews with chainsaws, sweepers and wagon cranes will work through the night to deal with any storm related problems.
The Manx Electricity Authority is also ready in case of power outages.
