'It would not be fun to be dragged out to sea' say police

Police have issued a warning about the dangers of playing in the sea during a storm.

It's after two boys were pictured on Fenella Beach, in Peel, during Storm Franklin, with one completely engulfed in what's described as a 'rogue' wave.

The constabulary says it "could have ended very differently. It would not be fun to be dragged out to sea, hit with flying debris, or drown."

"Stay safe on our island by making the right choices and thinking about the consequences of your actions. It could save your life."

Photographer, Mike Radcliffe said "the young lad was lucky not to get caught by the undertow."
