Met Office issues yellow and amber warnings
A new yellow weather warning has been issued for heavy rain, severe gales, for tonight and most of tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the yellow alert for coastal overtopping has been upgraded to amber with significant amounts of debris likely on exposed areas.
It's in place from 11pm tonight (5 April) until 9pm tomorrow (Saturday, 6 April).
The rain tonight is expected to lead to some localised flooding by the morning.
Tomorrow, severe gales of up to 60mph will develop, with travel disruption likely and possible minor damage before dying down towards the evening.
Forecasters say gales in April occur, on average, once every two or three years.
