Owners say 'retail is only going to get harder on the Island' going forward
A clothing store in Douglas has announced this will be its final month of trading.
The Boredroom, based on Strand Street, is to shut its doors on 25 January.
In a post on social media, owner Laurence Crookall cited the 'incredibly challenging' retail landscape which 'makes it an almost impossible challenge for an independent business to survive'.
The business has thanked its customers for their support over the past four years.
Last summer, the company ran a survey to find out what customers wanted from local businesses.
Mr Crookall told Manx Radio they didn't want to be another Manx business announcing their closure:
