Street Heritage Events say 'no more'

The company responsible for the Peel Bay Festival and Viking Festival is not going to organise any more local events.

Managing Director of Street Heritage Events, Jonathan Irving, says over the past ten years he has worked tirelessly to bring Peel alive and has interpreted the 'Freedom to Flourish' ethic in the most dynamic way.

He says it's a shame that some people have a 'not in my backyard' stance, and he criticises the lack of vision and intolerance of a few key people.

He says this has led to the demise of some important and key events for the Island.

Equipment from the festivals will now be sold off after an arson attack on the huts where it was being stored and complaints from some locals.
