Right royal celebration at Douglas home
Union jacks, bunting, a high tea, games, music and nostalgia have been enjoyed at a Douglas old people's home this weekend.
Residents, staff and relatives at the Ellan Vannin home joined together for a street-party on the facility's garden terrace, to mark the Queen's 90th birthday.
The group - including several over the age of 100 - shared memories, listened to wartime songs, and toasted Her Majesty as they enjoyed a traditional spread of sandwiches, cakes and pastries in the sunshine.
Organisers Viv Cornelius and Linda Johnston said it was a great opportunity for all the home's 34 residents to celebrate together:
