New advice does not apply to primary pupils
Students and staff in Island schools will be encouraged to wear face coverings when term starts.
The advice also covers UCM and recommends lateral flow tests be taken on a weekly basis.
Primary pupils will be exempt.
Attendance will be compulsory with increased ventillation, carbon dioxide monitors and enhanced hygeine precautions in place.
People are asked to start using lateral flow tests during the week before term.
The mitigations termed 'proportionate protective measures' are hoped to reduce the risk of Covid-19 spreading in schools.
Parents with concerns about the new school year have been told contact head teachers.
