Students critical of "extreme" climate protests

Real concerns over climate change on their lives

Students at Ballakermeen say climate change is one of the biggest issues their generation faces.

Speaking live on the Mannin Line from the school, sixth formers expressed a range of views on the subject, including frustration over possible future fossil fuel extraction from the Irish Sea and the large-scale burning of coal in China.

However, there was criticism over the way Extinction Rebellion has protested recently in London - Sam called it too extreme:-
