Minister responds to news that teachers will decide results
Government says it's ‘fully engaged’ with head teachers and exam boards over assessment outcomes for students.
It comes as the Education Secretary in England confirmed teachers will decide GCSE and A-Level results this year instead of an algorithm.
The education department says it's working to ensure students receive the ‘best chance’ to achieve the grades they deserve.
It says it’s ‘especially important’ after the disruption caused by Covid-19.
Education Minister Alex Allinson has confirmed he’ll make a further announcement next week.
