DEFA welcomes new tenants to site
The new operators of Glen Wyllin campsite are hoping for a fine summer season as the facility reopens today (2 April).
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture has awarded a 21-year lease on the site to a local private partnership.
Business team Tracey and Michael Dentith, James Hooper and Leanne Gilman have promised to honour all existing bookings.
They're marking the start of their new venture with a family open Day tomorrow (Sunday 3 April) and all are welcome to attend for a barbecue, bouncy castles and more.
Glen Wyllin been closed for several weeks, after previous tenants Michael District Commissioners chose not to renew their lease with DEFA after more than 20 years running the site.
The authority cited financial constraints and staff shortages as reasons for ending its tenure.
