A heavy horse owned by the President of Tynwald has been crowned Supreme Champion at the 2013 Southern District Agricultural Show.
Clare Christian’s six year-old home bred Clydesdale Mare called Garff Helga impressed the judges.
And Mrs Christian admitted it was a rare success for a heavy horse.
The reserve champion was Dougie and Belinda Coole’s shorthorn heifer.
Second reserve went to the Kermode family’s 2 shear Texel ewe, while the third reserve was a British Blue Heifer belonging to Allan and Sandra Jones.
