Talks resume between DHSC and health regulator

Need for independent regulation identified in Michael report

Talks to appoint a health regulator have resumed after being delayed due to coronavirus.

The Department of Health and Social Care had to put negotiations with the Care Quality Commission on hold during the pandemic.

Independent regulation was one of the recommendations highlighted by Sir Jonathan Michael's review of the Island's healthcare system published last year.
