Taxi licensing fees could rise by over 22%

Tynwald will be asked to approve the change later this month

Fees for licensing and registering taxis on the Isle of Man could be raised by more than 22 per cent.

The Road Transport Licensing Committee says it’s necessary to keep up with inflation and rising costs.

The fees were last set on 1 March 2017.

If approved by Tynwald it will affect public passenger vehicles including taxis, private hire cars, buses and coaches used commercially for the carriage of passengers.

The updated fees would come into effect from 1 August. - you can find more information HERE.
