Staff said to be tackling increased workload
Teachers on the Isle of Man are currently under 'enormous stress' managing assessments that would usually be overseen by exam boards.
That’s according to the education union NASUWT which says that, along with marking requirements, staff are tackling an increased workload with no extra pay.
Geraldine O'Neill says the Department of Education, Sport and Culture needs to step in:
Repair scheme an 'antidote to throwaway culture'
Douglas council seeking sites for future housing development
Yellow alert for heavy rain issued, replacing previous warning
Most Manx students studying in northern universities
