Environmental Protection Unit investigating area in Union Mills
DEFA is investigating the quality of water in Union Mills following allegations of contamination on social media.
Teams from the Environmental Protection Unit are testing the whole area around the River Dhoo that runs from Douglas to the village.
It's after concerns were raised on a Facebook post about a dog becoming sick from drinking it.
The post has now been shared hundreds of times.
DEFA and Manx Utilities however says these claims have not been substantiated, as they continue to investigate the area.
