18 year-old fined £500 - ordered to pay court costs
A teenager who punched a man in the face on a street in Port St Mary has been fined by the Deputy High Bailiff.
Eighteen-year-old Dillon James Rice, of Watterson Lane, Willaston, pleaded guilty to a charge of provoking behaviour when he appeared before Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
The court heard Rice had been verbally abused by a man on Bay View Road at around 9pm on July 20.
The man was punched by Rice and received a cut above one of his eyes, but decided not to make a complaint to police - that was done by a witness to the incident.
Rice has been fined £500 and ordered to pay £120 costs.
