Wendy Reid discusses circumstances around CEO's departure
The chair of the board of Manx Care has been praising the health body's outgoing CEO, Teresa Cope.
It was announced this week that Ms Cope will leave her role this summer, ahead of taking up new opportunities in the autumn.
She joined the public service in December 2020, ahead of the health body's formation in April 2021.
Five and a half years on, Chair Wendy Reid says it was Teresa Cope's personal decision to step down and, despite online speculation, she has not been 'pushed' out of the role.
Speaking to Manx Radio two days after Ms Cope's departure was announced, Professor Reid has described her as an "extraordinarily dedicated public servant".
When asked whether Ms Cope would be placed on gardening leave until the date she plans to leave at the end of June, Professor Reid said Ms Cope would continue to work "every day, every minute, every hour" until she finishes her contract with the organisation:
