
The owner of the Callow’s Yard shopping and leisure complex says he’s convinced a supermarket chain can overcome objections and be granted an alcohol licence.
Tesco has applied to the licensing court as it prepares to move into the Castletown complex – but it’s facing objections in the town, not least from the board of commissioners.
Roy Tilleard says he’s disappointed by the board’s vote to oppose the licence, and denies their claims the town has too many off-licences already.
