But questions remain over what type of roles they are
A Douglas North MHK is welcoming the announcement from Tesco that as many as 100 jobs will be created on the Isle of Man.
In total, it means around 40 additional roles are being made, after 60 redundancies were handed out following Shoprite's sale.
The government says it's working with suppliers to help them get SALSA accreditation - which would enable local goods to be stocked on Tesco shelves.
