Police say they are no longer treating as theft the apparent disappearance of fuel from a boat in Douglas Harbour.
It was thought a large amount of fuel had been removed from a vessel moored close to the Solway Harvester.
However, after moving the vessel the owner says a blockage in a fuel pipe has been released, and the tanks are full after all!
Police are thanking the boat owner for his promptness in reporting the crime and honesty in confirming no crime had been committed.
Officers say the message to anyone who thinks they are a victim of a fuel theft is to double check that an offence has actually occurred!
