Coverage on Manx Radio throughout festival
The Manx Music, Speech and Dance Festival - more commonly known as The Guild - opens this afternoon at the Villa Marina.
For the next nine days, performers will compete for honours in a huge range of classes, from choirs to soloists, organists to orchestras, tin whistles, bible readings and even a battle of the bands.
The event is celebrating its 125th anniversary in 2017.
To mark the occasion, there will also be an exhibition of memorabilia and photographs at the venue throughout the week.
Judith Ley is providing daily coverage for Manx Radio.
She says a century-and-a-quarter on, there's still nothing quite like it:
'Too early to tell' what caused fire
Firefighting foam may have killed fish in Silverburn River
Additional road closure for TT filming ahead of MGP qualifying
'Knives and sharp implements' left outside charity shops
