Pupils at Ballasalla primary school know a lot more about Tudor Britain, after a visit by a gunman from the era!
Reenactment specialist David Watts showed them the type of tent in which a soldier would have lived with his wife and children, and demonstrated some of the firearms which were available at the time.
The children also had a chance to show off their knowledge of the Tudor period, which covered the years 1485 to 1603:
'Significant dredging works' in Douglas Harbour
'Operational reasons' and tidal restrictions delay Heysham sailing schedule
Coastguard team rescues two-year-old Jack Russell "Teddy"
New child employment rules come into force
