Organisers never considered calling weather-hit event off
Organisers of the Southern Agricultural Show say the event was hit hard by the high winds and the heavy rain that swept across the Great Meadow showground over weekend.
On Saturday, tents were blown down and trade stands battered as stormy conditions hit, while further downpours on Sunday brought other problems.
Show Secretary Sarah Comish says they have had one day's poor weather before, but having to cope with two days was unique:
