Theatrefest 15 is here

A new and exciting festival for theatre officially bursts into life later today (Friday).

Theatre Fest ’15 is an initiative which aims to celebrate and produce new work.

It was officially launched in May and is set to kick start over the next two nights at the Gaiety Theatre.

Promoters hope it will ultimately be a five year project and become an established date in the theatre calendar.

It’s brought to the Island by NODA, the National Operatic and Drama Association with Stage Door Entertainment and the Isle of Man Arts Council.

Over the next two nights, three all-new works for the theatre - including a world premiere - performed by local and West End stars and a challenging and thought-provoking work which tackles slavery.

The inaugural Theatrefest 15 bursts into life at seven thirty this evening.
