A piece of plant equipment weighing 200 kilos has been stolen from a house in St Mark's.
The £7,000 JCB hydraulic rockhammer fits onto a JCB digger and is used to break up pavements.
The item, which is fairly rare on the Island, is around five feet tall, and a foot wide.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to ring the police station in Castletown on 822222.
