"There's nothing new here", says Knottfield victim

Reaction to Tynwald committee evidence

A former resident of Knottfield feels "nothing new" has come from the latest inquiry into historical child abuse at the Douglas care home.

The facility was situated on Woodbourne Road, until its residential arm was closed in 1983.

Christine Urquhart gave her reactions to Manx Radio, having heard the evidence given by Chief Constable Gary Roberts and the Attorney General, John Quinn, to the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee.

Miss Urquhart feels the inquiry is largely just going over old ground:
