Plans to make road racing possible on any Sunday
A lay preacher in the Island is asking politicians to ‘think again’ about proposed new road racing legislation.
The House of Keys yesterday (Tuesday) passed the second reading of the Road Races Bill 2015.
If ultimately supported, it would allow for racing to be held on either the TT or Billown courses on any Sunday of the year between 1pm and 9pm.
Current legislation only allows Sunday racing during the TT and Manx Grand Prix.
Peter Murcott hopes members will have a change of heart once they think about church goers around the Island.
