Dave Mackey hopes to gain a seat in the House of Keys
A third candidate has announced their intention to stand for election in Douglas East in September.
Dave Mackey runs the Ascot Hotel in Douglas and is also a taxi driver.
If elected, he says his priorities will include cost of living pressures, listening to people and increasing support for local business and tourism.
Dave says: "I understand the vital heartbeat of our tourism sector and I know the hard work it takes to keep Douglas thriving.
"Today I work as a taxi driver, if you want to know what is actually happening in Douglas, what people are worried about, what they are angry about and what they hope for... you don't look at a government report, you sit in the front seat of a cab.
"Every single day I hear your struggles with the cost of living, our roads and our public services."
Also standing in the constituency are Joney Faragher and Andrew Saunders.
The General Election is taking place on Thursday 24 September.
