Third reading for Abortion Reform Bill

Seven questions at House of Keys sitting

The Abortion Reform Bill has its third reading in the House of Keys this morning.

After several weeks looking at the wording and detail in the clauses stage, members will debate Dr Alex Allinson's amended private members bill as a whole.

Before then there are seven questions with a further three for written answer.

Three of the questions are posed by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.

He will ask the Chief Minister about a fund to purchase property deemed to be of National Importance.

Minister for Policy and Reform Chris Thomas will be asked to make a statement on the Year of Our Island and Home Affairs Minister Bill Malarkey will be quizzed on protesters displaying disturbing images in areas like Castletown Square.

Other issues being raised are an all island recycling scheme, the legitimacy of Freedom of Information requests, house prices and when was a review of University College of Man at the Nunnery carried out?

You can listen to today's sitting of the House of Keys from 10am on our AM 1368 frequency, online or via our smartphone apps.
