Thomas: 'I don't see budget to deal with energy crisis'

It's after MUA Chair warned electricity tariffs could rise

An MHK believes no budget has truly been set out to deal with the ongoing global energy crisis.

Douglas Central representative Chris Thomas was one of a number of politicians who raised the matter of global increases during the 2022-23 Budget debate today (15 February)

Manx Utilities' chair Rob Callister earlier warned the cost of electricity will have to rise.

Unemployment rates and job opportunities were also a subject Mr Thomas wanted to raise with the treasury minister:
