
It seems there will be a three way battle in the bid to become the next President of Tynwald.
Speaker of the House of Keys, Steve Rodan, announced today (Thursday) he will seek election on Tuesday, July 12.
With Chief Minister Tony Brown outlining his interest earlier in the week, and MLC Clare Christian expected to announce she will accept nominations, it will mean three candidates will seek to replace the retiring Noel Cringle.
Mr Rodan says the role is of paramount importance.
