Tin Bath Championships raise around £6000

Organisers say 178 people took part

Nearly £6000 was raised at the World Tin Bath Championships this weekend.

Organisers, the Castletown Ale Drinkers Society, saw 178 people take part in the different classes, including snake races.

The men's world championship title was retained by David Watt, with brother Nick Watt and Paul Watterson taking second and third place respectively.

Erica Cowen took home first place in the ladies category, for what's thought to be the 21st time, closely followed by Suzanne Slatter and Sarah Cringle.
